Just picked up one of these "old timers"; has a 2nd motor installed, with diode-controlled back-up lights and wire handrails through out; pretty cool model.

Can't find any info regarding what this model was based on: any guesses/thoughts?

OK: it looks like a "CFA-16"; also known as a "C Liner".

I will attempt to post some photos, as it also has the pilot "filled in", with some metal couplers which are not familiar to me...

I never checked this out with a scale rule, but it looks like a CFA-16 or "C-Liner".

PRR had quite a fleet.    I have 3 a units and a kitbashed B-unit also all double powered.

I have closed in the pilots, installed wire hand rails, and installed Kadee couplers.

To me it looks like the photos in the books I have on Pennsy locos.   There is one on FM locos with at least 20 photos of this prototype.    the model seems to match the as built and early operating photos pretty well.
