I AM LOOKING FOR A BEAT STATION TO USE THE BASE, OR IF SOMEONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET WOOD SIMILAR TO WHAT AF USED TO MAKE A BASE.

Are you asking about the Newstand, Waiting Station, and refreshment stand units. Without having to look it up, I think they are the A/F 271 set. The bases were made out of Masonite. Masonite is the stuff that Peg Boards were made out of. I know Home Depot sells the stuff, and if they do, most likely Lowes does too. You may also find it at a good hardware store.
John which station specifically? There were many stations made for Gilbert by Mini-Craft. The material was thick Masonite and I've not seen it around in for ever. The stuff you find in stores today is thin.

it is the green station with the enclosed waiting area. any idea where I can get some. I was thinking doll house material suppliers. also, would buy a beat station, just for the base.
Have you measured the actual thickness? Hardboard (Masonite is the brand name) is available in 1/8" and 1/4" thicknesses and it also comes in a temperd version that is very dense and hard. You might have to check with Menard's if you're near one or at a local lumber yard. If you need the thicker size Menard's has 1/4' thick in 2'x4' sheets for about $5. Another alternative is medium density fiberboard MDF which is available in thicker sizes, but you might have to buy a 4'x8' sheet.

thanks,i will check that out. the flooring is kind of scored to look like decking.
To simulate the scored flooring you might have to try a sharp x-acto or box cutter knife with a good metal edge to simulate your own. You definitely want to stay away from the tempered material since it would be too hard to score.
I just checked eBay and there are three complete units at pretty stiff prices. I did question one seller on thickness of the base, and the base plate, with grooved planking is 1/4" thick Masonite, and the other panels are standard 1/8" thickness. That station is #163 Station. If you want to duplicate the pseudo planking, I would use a Dremel router attachment to do it right. Good luck, and have fun.
