Andre created a building that he christened "Appliance Store and Barber Shop". Unfortunately the barber  moved out after complaining for ten years about the condition of this architectural masterpiece and Western Union was glad to move in so Andre, you have a new look. Can you make me a Western Union sign and also one for R R Allen and Son (1960's local appliance dealer in Suffolk)?

You will probably recognize the Miller Engineering creations. Other lights are by Ogre and Minitronics.

Most furniture is by Westport and building accessories are from Builders In Scale and Crow River. Figures are all Model Power and you can still get an exceptional deal on them from Nassau Hobbies.

In trying to show the interior, some pictures were taken below the normal height and lights are visible which won't normally show. Some pictures were taken before the awning received its final weathering and it looks poor. This has been corrected. Incidentally, if you need a source of wiring to attach to your electric meters and telephone boxes, painted copper rigging wire that is used in offshore fishing works great.

The roof is removable so that the interior remains accessible.

if you want to try your luck with a similar building, click on Andre's banner at the top. His kits are fun to build.

Joe sorry to be late. Went out of town and just got back.

Durhams water putty tinted with Higgins black ink/alcohol mixture that we use for weathering. We have another model that we are getting ready to try some brown with as this turned out okay. Got tired of red brick and white mortar. Quite a few buildings in our area have colored mortar.

Thanks Andre. I will send you an e-mail. Please get Mike an answer.
