Just picked up a nice tablet as a Christmas present. If I decided to use it to control MTH PS2/3 engines what is necessary to accomplish that?

Wait for MTH to release their system in the spring
I keep hoping that MTH will someday provide the basic command codes and structure so programmers other than a "selected few (one)" could develop apps for iPhone, Android and PC.
Lionel did it for TMCC. If MTH offered just the codes that are available on a Remote Commander (like fast/slow, direction, horn, bell, etc.) it would be a great starting point.
I know..... but hey, it almost Christmas! .....ya never know!

You can keep hoping, just don't hold your breath.

That's why they haven't done it for Legacy.
Found on the Lionel LCS Wi-Fi Module page.
Lionel’s LCS App is available as a free download for the iPad. In addition, Lionel has made the LEGACY & LCS protocol codes available to third party developers.
One can only hope they'll be more readily available at some point.
John,

That's "business speak" for "we don't want to be a software company", which is exactly where MTH is coming from.
Hope springs eternal that they'll allow us mere mortals access to it at some point.

Maybe they will develop it for android tablets. Lionel only designed it for Apple.
BTW: Is there anyone here who will help me get Firefox on this new tablet. When it starts up it is using Google as the default browser.

My understanding is that the Hikel O Gauge apps will be developed for both iOS and Android users.
