After solving my problem with the bin hanging up at the top of my #497 Coaling Station, a new problem arose that I think you should be aware of in case you purchase one of the new 6-82026 units.  A faint, rapid clicking sound came from the station when sitting idle.  My handy stethoscope proved that it was coming from the area of the solenoid that controls the dump feature.  Turning off the transformer that the station was wired to made the sound stop.  Apparently there is a small current leak to the solenoid from the dump button on the controller, certainly not a good situation.  The easy fix was to add an on/off switch to the circuit.  Problem solved.  Bottom line - this is now a really smooth-running accessory!

The solution to the bin hanging up was to take the roof off and use a dremel tool to grind off the tabs on each end that hold the roof on.  Then simply set the roof back on top.  It stays on just fine.

It appears that the roof, when pressed on, upset the geometry of the structure just enough to make the bin hang up really tight. It wasn't even visible what was happening.
