This one is modeled after a house that we were thinking of buying at one time.
Here is the main structure of the house and the front and rear porches.

The roof sections for the house and the porches are painted.

The original house was vinyl sided but I'm going to make the model so it looks like it is built out of limestone.
The limestone is printed out on a sheet of paper and glued to the side of the model.
Here is the first piece of paper glued in place.

The main structure with the limestone finished.

As with the sides of the house, the roofing is also printed out on paper.
Here is the first section of roof.   A piece of limestone is glued in place to finish  the inside of the peak.

The roofing is done with the lower sections being finished first.
Extra roof paper is left on the end of each piece where one section of roof meets another section of roof.

Both sides of the first peak are finished with the extra roof paper extending up onto the side of the adjoining peak.

The roof paper that is put on the side of the adjoining peak sets over the paper at the edge of the first peak so there isn't any bare roof line showing ( like there is at the top of the first peak ).

When all the roof sections are finished, A narrow strip of roof paper is cut and glued to the top of each peak for the ridge cap.

This is how the house looks so far with the roof set in place.
