Hi,
I'm considering this dual-lamp light for use in the Steubenville, OH section of my layout. Has anyone used it? Have any experiences (good or bad), tips to pass on? Based on photos of the area, it's a pretty close match to what existed.

never used that kind but I know that lemax makes lights like that also. I have used them and love them.

Thank you! Any info on the Lemax type - specs, part #, price, how to find them? The Williams lights are a bit pricey at $15 for two.

Lemax is pretty much standard in christmas village decorations. you can find them in many brands in the big box stores from K-Mart to WalMart to Lowes. Lowes stuff usually is blown out 2 weeks prior to christmas.

Michaels usually sells their Lemax remainders right after christmas at half-off.
You might want to consider running them on a lower voltage than what is recommended if they are incandescent bulbs. The light output can be very bright and overpowering, but reducing the voltage will give them a warm glow, which is more realistic.
If they're LEDs, they may be fine out of the package.
