What Track you Guys using?

Matt how much time do you spend at the club house that's a good drive from you...

Whenever I get my layout built it will be ScaleTrax. At the club we started with Gargraves, but new alignments are done with Atlas. Atlas has gotten so expensive recently, our next track purchase might be Gargraves again. The lines are pretty much finished (have been for some time) so I don't see us buying much track in the future.

I usually leave the house around 9:30. Get to the club about an hour and 45 minutes later. Stay there until 5:30-6:00 depending on what I'm working on, how much train running I do vs. projects, and how long our visitors stay. Technically, we close at 4:00 to visitors, but we welcome visitors whenever the doors are open.

We run TMCC/Legacy and DCS on the layout. We're also beta testing the Lionel LCS WiFi interface and have run trains using iPads and Android Devices (BlueTrain 2.0 App).

Yep. Just a bunch of overgrown kids playing with trains.

What's the Best local O scale shop?

There are four, depending on what you're after:

I've found the service at all of them to be pretty good, but So. Cal. train stores pretty much sell at retail unless there's a sale going on or they picked up some special deals. Arnies seems a little less expensive.

We're at the stage where most of the stuff we use comes from home improvement centers rather than train stores as we're doing some scenery improvements/changes.

Forgot there was a train show next weekend. Might swing by.
