To go with their recent modern offerings, and what would really work for the last 60 years, I think a Waffle House would be awesome and would absolutely buy one.

I would prefer a decent Krispy Kreme.
An interesting request to say the least, as the two companies in question have minimal geographic overlap. Most of their customers are probably not familiar with the other. Present company excluded. Never eaten at a Waffle House, but shop at Menards all the time.
I would rather have a White Castle or a Culver's (which is Wisconsin based)!
I vote for White Castle
Menard's needs to extend the geographic "reach" of its product line for marketing purposes--go with Waffle House; a distinctly Southern experience.
Maybe Lionel should do Waffle House they are down south now ?

Well Carl, with the exception of us train guys, Menards has no reach into the south, west of Denver or east of Ohio. They are a very midwest regional company. Perhaps the only reason you know about the trains is that they sponsor the forum. Would you have heard of them if they hadn't done that?
We have tons of Waffle Houses and Krispy Kremes. I'll take one of each. For my layout, even if it's not geographically appropriate. That being said, an In N Out would be cool too.

Once again, wrong tree.
How 'bout a Dunkin' Donuts ?

Will it come with the cast of "dead like me?"
I LOVE Waffle House! There's one in Medina, Ohio that my wife and I frequent. "Smothered & Covered" That's my motto.

I wouldn't buy one, but you could do Bob Evans for midwesterners.
I want an old Super America with the krinkle kut roof
I just want a larger layout for all this Menards stuff... LOL..

I don't have room for any of this stuff. Mine isn't that kind of layout. Minimal streets, structures, cars and people. If it's not an industry or a railroad owned structure or a background flat, t doesn't make the grade. I'm all about the trains.
You know Elliot, if you dont have people, you dont have trains
