Curious as to the performance of this turnout. What do you like, what do you not like about it? Thank you, tt

I have never even heard of Lenz. Thanks for post, it led to me doing a search and checking Lenz out. They make some very interesting engines. Sorry I am no help to your question.
I have two and both perform reasonably well. They are in gauge and
the points close properly. Construction is identical to Atlas except for
wider ties. They are (were) made in the same factory.
I inserted the white styrene insulators at the frogs and trimmed the Peco-like
spring mechanism from the ends of the headblock ties. There is an area at the center
of the throw bar suitable for a tortoise throw wire - barely visible.

Jim,
Since the Lenz seem to match the Atlas, can I assume that the Lenz is a #5? Also, where did you purchase them?
Thanks,
Ed
Ed - They are #5 and mate well. I bought mine from New England Custom Rail at
the Springfield, MA show a couple of years ago. Their website doesn't list the
O Scale track but they usually have some stock.
Jim, thank you. Do you recall the cost?
Hold on to your socks... $175 (list price as of 2 years ago)
Jim, thanks.
A slip switch is two switches overlapped. So the price represents two switches. Almost exactly twice the price of one Atlas switch.
Plus, when you need one, you NEED one! Nothing else works.
All things considered, better than revenue neutral in my mind.
Precisely, that's why I had to spring for two of 'em.
Jim,
Nice pics!

Nice pics. Like the insulators on the frog.
I agree...nice mess of track work there. Love it!
I have one, works great as is. Unless you look at the ties extremely closely matches perfectly with Atlas. I have not modified it and are using with DCC and tortise machines.

Hi everybody,
I have used the Lenz double slip and had no problems. Switching it by hand at this stage, but will use servos in the future. No derailments with Lenz and Brawa rolling stock.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
