If you were already aware of Archer Transfers (Decals)...best known for their waterslide rivet decals...and their latest announcement, my apologies for posting this redundancy.

Otherwise, perhaps you'll be as disappointed as I was when I found this out from a fellow customer at our LHS today.

Looks like Micro-Mark will be the last source for these nifty details that I'm aware of.

Actually, Micro-Mark’s ain’t hitting the mark, ….very very weak detail. When you go to solvaset them, they get even worse,…..I was completely disappointed with that product, …..

Pat...

Since M-M might be the only 'game' left in town, you might want to bring this to their attention...if not already.  Seems like it might be a formulation issue with the rivet medium...perhaps something they or their source could easily remedy.

The whole idea of waterslide rivets intrigued me when I first learned about Archer's product.  By then I was entrenched in the idea that today's technology for making WS decals was on a laser or inkjet printer, and I couldn't imagine how they pulled if off.  But then I recalled that back in ye olde days (e.g., Champ), it was a screening process...and that process seemed more easily plausible for creating rivets with texture...assuming the right medium (i.e., something more paste-like than fluid).  But, I really have no idea how they truly do it.

Nonetheless, the same customer I referenced in my opening comment was VERY happy our store had the M-M sheets in stock...having apparently used them previously.

Always tough when the hobby loses a unique/rare product/source.  Just thought we might try to help someone fill the void to our expectations.
