In reviewing the "On-Line" MTH catalog, I am interested to know if these Paint schemes were prototypical for these cars:
MTH PRR 64' Passenger set Pg139
MTH AMOCO 8k Tank car 20-96752 pg133
MTH Sunoco 8K tank car 20-96749 pg133
MTH Canadian Wheat 100T Grain car 20-97922 pg 126

Yes it would however I don't know how to attach a photo from MTH online catalog that was just released.
I care because I like prototypical cars... Not fantasy" island" schemes. Thanks for your reply. You just saved me some funds.
CPWX 604301 is the last car in the series built by Hawker-Siddeley, so it might have had this one of a kind transition scheme.

Starting with the car CPWX 604302 they were in the red scheme.

The NATX 8,000 gallon tank cars were the 1920's to 1940's type that Atlas O and Lionel have produced.

The other two Canada schemes were common schemes.
The Pillsbury cylindrical hopper paint scheme is totally accurate. I saw one in the past week.
There are photos on rrpicturearchives.net and at railcarphotos.com
That red and black version of the Government of Canada scheme would have been a one of a kind test paint.

Nobody looks at my trains and screams in horror because a paint scheme isn’t prototypical. I buy what I think is fun to have, prototypical or not. It’s cool though if someone only wants prototypical items. Nice to have choices!
The Canadian Wheat CPWX 604301 hopper is legitimate- look for pics and you'll find it- it has also been modeled in N and HO scale by several manufacturers.

Why condescend to others who choose to enjoy the hobby differently than you? If your truly happy doing what you're doing, it shouldn't be necessary. Certain people like prototypical trains, as that's what they want to model, why is that hard to understand and appreciate?
