Around the room layout using Realtrax
Here is a very simple "around the room" semi-permanent layout that is designed to be setup in a small room or garage location. The benchwork is designed as modules which bolt together to form a 12 foot by 12 foot overall layout. The benchwork is made up of one 3 ft by 6 foot section, four 3 foot by 3 foot sections, three 2 foot by 6 foot sections and a center island 2 foot by 4 foot in length. The benchwork sections are designed to be easily expanded or modified to change the overall size if necessary.
The layout features an O-72 wye which allows for reversing engines and trains as necessary. The track is made up of O-72 curve sections except for O-54 curve sections used on the two sidings.
