my 2-8-8-2 varies it chuff from out of sync to in sync all the time. the drivers stay 180 degrees out of sync so why doesn; the sound stay out of sync, or is there a setting for this?

There's only a reader connected in one spot. I think the program just varies it to make it seem realistic. Without another reader (and input for one), there's no way for the board to know what each wheel set is doing.
