When I power the ASC2 module for switches from my single ZWL it starts buzzing loudly at about 10 volts but quits at 18 volts. I'm converting the signal to DC at the tortoise machines. How can I get rid of the buzzing or is 18 volts too much for tortoises?

Correction: Is 18 volts too much for the ASC2.
Sounds like you need a 12 to 14 VAC accessory transformer. One inexpensive way to go would be to wire up one of these...here are the specs from the manual:
External Relay Power/Accessory Transformer • Input relay voltage: 12-14 VAC • Input relay current: ~60 mA x8 (~500 mA max)
And here are some 12VAC examples...16VAC might be ok too.
Worth a try. You're saying 12VAC from an accessory transformer -- the doorbell device -- will eliminate buzzing on the ASC2 that I'm currently getting with the ZWL? I appreciate the link.
Hopefully. I guessing that the shark tooth waveform that the ZWL puts out at low voltages causes the buzzing.

That would also be the same educated guess I had
The 16VAC doorbell transformer works perfectly. No more buzzing on the ASC2. Thank you.
Super!
