Depends on what you are using them for.  Both have a lower amperage rating than the SC-2.  Apparently, when used as Block power controllers, the 15 amp rating was problematic on dead short de-rails.   The SC-2 has a 20 amp rating. Correction noted 15 amps.    If you are using these devices to control/operated switches their great.  IMO.  Program to momentary in most cases.

Older ASC 3000 installed on my layout. Group of (6) pictured.  (5) operate (20) switches and the (6th) one is accessory control.  An SC-2 is pictured lower right, wired to (1) switch.   (21) switch controls operate (25)switches with (4) sets of paired switch cross overs.

Additional picture.  Two devices lower left are BPC 3000's   Block Power controllers. I have burned traces in these devices from dead short derails.  All track circuits are now fused at 8 amps.  Operation is via the Command base pictured lower right and hardwiring for signal to each device.  Cab1  Switch and Accessory buttons.

Actually, that's not really true, it's 15 amps.

Each SC-2 can control switches and accessories through commands from the CAB-1 Remote Controller and Command Base. All SC-2 outputs are rated for 15 amps and can control most switches and accessories directly. Use the sheet of labels (included) to identify the SC-2 ID#’s on your switches and accessories.
