Ok i hope this is the right place to post this. I have not 1 but 2 Atlas Track Power connectors that just stopped working. The screw terminals are clean and the screws are good. I put a volt meter on the transformer it working fine and the wires are good. When I put the leads on the track no power at all. They both just stopped working while I was running some trains. Any ideas as to what can be done here?

Years ago, I used two of these tracks on a friends layout but it seemed we were loosing power around part of the loop. After much consternation, I checked the continuity between the screw terminal and the rail and found that no power was getting from the screw to the rail. I will not use one again! I never saw it discussed but I always wondered if these suffered from the same problem as the switch jumpers where the wire running to the rail was spot welded and the welds broke.
You may want to check the track.
Good luck,
Don
You may want to take a look at the underside of the Atlas power track. If you remove the 2 small screws and the plastic cover, you can see where the power is fed to the rails. Here is a picture that shows the 2 copper strips that are soldered to the underside of the rails.
Make sure that nothing has come loose. The copper strip on the right connects to the center rail, and the strip on the left connects to the 2 outer rails.

How do you get it more apart to resolder it? It’s the Center rail the short one
I would just use a hobby knife or a drill to remove a little bit of the plastic that is directly above the center rail and next to the copper strip. The idea is to expose a little more of the bottom of the center rail so you can solder the copper strip to it.
