Guys and Gals, My York registration reminder came by snail mail! DID YOURS? This is so exciting! I finally will be able to come to York and see this highly EXHALTED toy train extravaganza! Will I be excited or perplexed with the level of complexity??? Did you ever wait for something to come in the mail as a kid? This brings me right back to where I was! There waiting by the mailbox for the first camera ever I received as a kid of 8 from Matee! Anticipation building! I'll say! A **** of a long time ago that was! yet it brings me right back! I can't wait because this time, I know I will be able to go! The stars are in alignment, I can feel it! My first question to ALL of you is who here is anticipating going the same way I am? I have put it off three times now! With all that has happened in recent years, I cannot believe it's FINALLY MY TIME! Who has been waiting and waiting and waiting? I will be honest and say that I didn't feel the same way for my first York experience only because I didn't know what to expect.  I had heard a lot about it from everyone on the forum and decided to go to my first York in October 2013.  Upon arriving at York I was flabbergasted on the size of the complex and knowing that it was all dedicated to trains.  I first visited the Orange Hall and was blown away by the shear size of the hall itself and everything that was in it.  I got myself a map and started to navigate the aisles and talk with people and take in as much as possible.  I tried to visit the other halls as best as I could because I was only there for the first day (thursday) and had to go home that same day.  On the 2 1/2 hour ride home my mind was reeling from the experience and all of the sights and new friends I made.

When I registered for York for the April 2014 meet, I felt the excitement that you're feeling now.  I left my house extra early to get a good parking spot and made sure that I cleared out the back of my SUV for my purchases and I have to say that the April 2014 York meet really lived up to my expectations without disappointment.

I just registered for the October 2014 meet and I waiting in eager anticipation for my badge to arrive.  I truly don't think you'll be disappointed with anything at York as there is a a lot of stuff to see and tons of new friends to be made.

Even after about 40 trips to the York Meet, it's still exciting and fun for me.  Even my wife looks forward to it.  For me, it's so much fun being around all the trains and accessories of all scales and, more importantly, meeting up with friends and meeting new friends!

I don't want to rush the summer, but I can hardly wait!!  We're looking forward to seeing everyone!
