automating signals.

I have a few signals I'm looking at 3 over 2 D type or the G style with the 3 over 2 to represent and diverging route. I'm using the NJI system and was trying to think of when the switch motor (cobalt turnout motors) are thrown how I was going to change the aspect on the signal to show red over flashing green. Any suggestions?

If motor has no external contacts, then position a microswitch lever to toggle when motor is one position or other.  As far as aspects, that would be a function of the signal controller board you are using.  If no control board you may have to "roll your own" from relays or ICs or PIC processor.  Signalling can be as simple or complex as the owner (and $$$) wants.
