I would like to use auxiliary power on the operating track so I can adjust the milk car voltage. if possible, can someone show a diagram of how to do it? Thanks

Thanks. Just what I need.
It seems I'm not out of the woods yet. I can get the milk car to work, but the uncouple button acts like a short. I had to replace the Fastrack controller and bought an older one at a LHS. I wasn't smart enough to label the wires when I tore down the layout, and they are not color coded. Is it possible to just wire two push buttons to accomplish the same thing? or how do I test the magnet by itself to see if it will work without using the controller. I only need the operating rails for the milk car; I have no coil couplers.
Still working on this. Neither controller will activate the magnet. I can make it work by energizing the control rails hooked to it, so I can switch that separately if I cut the wire to the coil. Do I have to connect one set of rails to aux power and the other set to ground to switch the milk car separately?
The controller is supposed to do that for you. Try again with following the diagram(the schematic has been carried over to FasTrack):
Rob, thanks for being insistent. I pinged the wires and got them in the right place. Working now. There is definitely something wrong with the original controller; I get continuity on two wires for the same contact bar. Thanks again. Get your shovel ready. We have a few inches already, but it sounds like you might get hammered.
The new controllers are very poor quality(the wires too - under sized).
I am 3.1 miles north of 5&20 and 4 miles south of the Thruway, we do not get as much snow in this little pocket as you guys do, and it often drifts up & back into the fields with our landscaping acting as pretty effective snow fencing.
