I have about a dozen Ameritowne buildings I have built over the past decade. They are badly I need of festooning and awnings. Any building techniques you could share are greatly appreciated.

Johnny, It will take some piddling but you could cut them out of card stock, fold and color. John
I’ve used various decorative scrapbooking papers for some awnings.

Attached is a sample photo. Print the design you like on cardstock (heavy paper). You can make your own as I did below or find designs on the internet. The framework for the awning is Plastruct FEN-58 (it is a picket fence) - learned this from A. Graziano. Cut some 10-20 degree gussets depending on the lean angle you want and glue the assembly to the building front then glue on the cardstock. If you want decorative edges like scallops you can buy an inexpensive hand cutter from Hobby Lobby.
