Yeah, the van's chassis is nearly identical to that of the K-line by Lionel vans. The chassis is the same as when Lionel made it except for much improved center rollers.  The body is about the same.  The chassis is plastic - the sedan's is metal.  The vans' chassis is light: without its heavy metal diecast body the vehicle doesn't have enough weight to push its wheels down on the center pickup springs - it won't run.  But its a great one to bash: the plastic chassis is easy to cut, shape, glue, etc.

This Ford panel van is, as far as I know, the only vehicle made by every 'Streets company along the way: the first vehcile made by K-Line, then continued with as part of K-Line by Lionel with a few changes (those cheap spring-steel center pickup roller arms), and now from WBB.  Along the way it had clear windows, black windows, light bars that worked, or didn't, or it didn't have light bars, etc.  It had black train-like wheels, shiny blue steel wheels, gray wheels with plastic center hubs, etc.  But always the same basic body and plastic chassis.

I consider it as a slightly better runner than the sedans because of its superior center rollers, but I must say i've grown to like the sedans, too.
