Joe, Why not look for a nice used bridge on the secondary market? Odds are against the new one even being made IMHO

I'm one of those who is also awake at all hours. I've watched the PBS special a few times. The history of the GCT is one that covered so many generations of Americans. It's time for another pot of coffee and more time to run trains.

Years ago I ordered a Marklin #1-gauge locomotive from a (at that time) local dealer and then waited more than four years for it to be released.  When notified of its arrival I had already moved to another state and had even forgotten about the preorder.  Informed the dealer that, due to the extremely long delay, I was no longer interested.  I hated to do that, but I felt 4+ years, although certainly not the dealer's fault, was entirely unreasonable.

I'm looking. Missed one on the bay by one dollar. there's one listed there with $53.00 shipping charge.

I've learned my lesson there and other auction sites I bid what i'm willing to pay and don't look again until its over

had a local friend that use to run a hobby shop. he pre-ordered a G scale locomotive for a guy. after a year While waiting for the loco to be delivered, the guy who ordered it died.  His son came in and asked about the loco and was prepared to pay for it. My friend the hobby shop dealer told him he was not abligated and he sent the loco back.
