I am trying to install a Lionel bascule bridge 313. I am using lionel fastrack and did not use the enclosed frame. I used a separate transformer for the bridge.
When I turned on the transformer the motor started but the bridge did not move.
In addition, since I did not use the frame, I did not use the center rail u channel as directed, but just attached wire to center rail of track before the block. Then when I turned on my regular track transformer, the voltage did not go up very high.
I connected everything with conventional Lionel tracks and transition fastracks.
What did I do wrong?
