There have been a few recent threads focusing on fine details of the items we all enjoy. Not intending to criticize those who have very precise preferences and historical perspectives, but I enjoy the differences between items I have. For example, I grew up in Richmond and the RF&P was a big deal. Here are three cabooses (cabeese?) and look at the difference. Am I upset?  No, when I get some time, I plan to research the origins of these various viewpoints.  I very much like all three of these- I have similar variations on RF&P GPs from different manufacturers.  Do you like differences like this?

MTH premier: silvered roof , railings to get on top, very nice blue color)

Atlas: different blue but very nice, subtle look, no aluminum roof, very cool markings, no railings to get on the roof but nice LED marker on the rear

Railking: at 60% the price (what I paid at York), great detail, maybe not scale size but very nice! Best rivet detail of the group?

It's always hard to tell off photos what color is correct and even then, colors fade over time so the color arguments are largely moot if you really are interested in prototype accuracy unless they are way off.  They all could be correct.

As for style of caboose?  A simple web search will show what the RF&P ran during different eras.  I personally like my cars to be accurate in that sense, but it's your hobby on display here, not mine so that is just fine.

BTW, the RK NE style caboose is based on the Northeastern style caboose and is scale.  The rivets are a little large, but a decent caboose.  Many anthracite roads used a variation on this style caboose.

A quick web search for fun:
