Used to post on here but I never really got deep. I got scammed and quit. A man moved in up road and has a great HO  layout. Got me itching. I built a new table. Pulled the chessie down and bought a mth 4000z. Also picked up a new Halloween mikado. So my question is I don't really want nothing fancy, just 2 separate loops, I was talking and with O gauge say O84 that is divided by 12 to show width of curve. So 7 foot. Id like outer track o84 and inner o54. I have a 9 long x 8 wide table  and just wanted to be able to fit it all.

 It fits.

The division of the circle into 8-16 pieces isn't needed there. Some mfg.s measure center rail to center rail measure at 180° across the circle, some use the maximum footprint, ties and all, but the 0 in 0-27 etc is a diamter measured across "the width of a circle". (a favorite song )

  • The question is does Lionel measure FT  just like they did tube track and does that include the roadbed....?? I think the roadbed would sit outside of the 84". Tubular would be 7' leaving 6" at two edges and 1ft on the other two when dead center. So you even have room for 1 straight on each short leangth, or two in a row on the long edges.
  • Loco overhangs at pilot and cab, would extend past the track measurement, dont forget that. You still fit, but clearance room to miss scenery needs to be remembered too.

(Welcome back ....take a break, but never let the idjits beat you down for too long. Can't let them steal the fun along with the fun maker. The fun is too valuable, the fun makers can be replaced.)

You didn't specifiy FasTrack and it doesn't have both O54 and O84 curves, so if you plan to use it, your inside loop will have to be O48 or O60 curves. Here's an example of fitment for O48, O60, O72 and O84 curves, they'll all fit. If you want them connected, the 2nd image shows that using O60/O84 with O60/O72 switches and the 3rd image shows O72/O84 with O72 switches.

Oh idk they didn't do o54. Maybe o60 then 84. I don't plain to do scenery on out track facing me. It will be all inside  the outer loop.  So what you are saying if I want 2 seperate fast track it won't fit. Looking at pic about  it looks like it won't.  Jeez is there small track like 078 or 76. I want the biggest I can fit.  So many options know that I'm in final stretch

I'm not following this. The 3rd image shows an O72 oval inside an O84 oval using O72 switches to connect them to each other. The 2nd image shows an O60 oval inside and O84 oval using a combination of O60/O72 switches. Both will fit on your 8'x9' table. What am I missing?

You only need switches if you want the ovals to connect. The switches just add some interest to operation. The 1st image shows that each oval (O48, O60 and O72) will fit inside the O84, so pick the combination that works for you. If you use the O60 with the O84, you can do some landscaping between the tracks if you want, the O72 will be too close for much landscaping.
