I've been working on some "Mountain" Scenery projects, and currently use the Woodland Scenic Multipurpose glue, in the squeeze type bottle, to fasten "Clump" foliage in between the rocks, and other areas. The glue works, but it sure is a messy job. Half the time, the clumps won't stick right away and I seem to have to constantly go back and press the stuff in place until the glue starts to dry and take hold.

Any suggestions for an alternative that you find works any better?

Rev,

For vegetation on the more vertical cliffs, I prefer using the regular foliage product. It can be teased thin, and sticks with full strength white glue with no problem.

If you prefer to use the clump foliage there, you can always use hot glue with its almost instant grab. If you want to cover a larger steep area with clump foliage, you can cut a piece of cloth to fit the area. Glue the foliage to the cloth while it is flat on the workbench. When dry, glue the cloth to the hillside with hot glue.

Rev,

Woodland Scenics "Foliage" is bits of their coarse turf attached to a web-like material that can be teased and stretched to a thin covering. It is supposed to represent leafy material.

It can be used to make trees when glued onto a suitable armature. As is, it is good for bushes, vines, and that vegetation growing in rocky crevices.

Scenic Express has other similar products too.
