I have never made a good looking waterfall and need advise. It's not going to be a huge fall more like a small stream down a rock wall. Any advise would be great, pictures would be better. Thanks in advance. Don

For just seepage on a rock face I would just let clear resin or acrylic run down and find its own route and go where it may. Capture the run-off at the bottom. Beautiful rock work, by the way.
One method is to make a strip of wax paper or very thin cellophane strip the size you'd like the fall to be. Lay it out flat, tape the edges so it doesn't move then brush on some gloss silicon gel. Once it dries you should be able to peel it off and you have an opaque "waterfall." You can add some gel at the bottom where it meets the ground to create the splashing effect. Hope this helps.
Pete, what a great effect you've created, well done!
To add to the silcone on wax paper method after I apply the silicone down I take a toothpick and dip it into white paint and very lightly 'STREAK' the silicone, not much but just lightly. I have also seen applying a little aluminum foil, shiny side facing into the silicone, on the backside of the water fall. Adds some movement into the falls as you move around the room. Sort of like using mirrored backing for windows in our model buildings, adds movement.
Again Pete great looking falls. Russ
Thanks, Russ.
One more tip: Use some gloss medium on the rock around the waterfall to simulate wetness.

I also did it this way.....here's a pic of the finished product:

Clear silicone caulk (kitchen/bath non-paintable type) applied to clear plastic bag material and glued in place. A few wisps of polyfiber material added on landing areas where mist would appear.
