Anyone have experience with drilling or cutting holes in cast resin building?

Regular drill bits do fine, but special plexiglass ones work better because of the draught angle. I usually drill by hand.
Drill in reverse, allowing the bit to heat and soften the material, it will drill through without splitting or cracking the material. Works great especially with Pexiglass.

Yes. Does depend on the resin a bit, but a good sharp regular drill at a modest speed works just fine. I drill out my own castings for freight car parts and to tap them as needed w/o any problems.
Just what are you drilling specifically?
In the "Never too old to learn department," it would never have occurred to me to drill in reverse. I've done it by mistake, of course...
