What do you guys think of this scenery? The transformer only powers buildings and could be turned 180 degrees easily, or put behind a panel right next to it, sits idle at same power for years, controlled by auxiliary switch, basically no one ever uses it. This is also in plain sight on a scale layout.

I'd just put it somewhere under the layout and just mount the auxiliary switch someplace within reach. That's what I did with the Lionel 135 watt brick I used to power lights and accessories on my old layout.

Maybe stick it around a corner nearby so it is out of direct sight but still accessible. Or make a big arched culvert down there and recess the transformer in there.
