just got the latest run, very good as always. The pages seem thicker, or stiffer, photos look better.
Is this my imagination, anyone else notice this?

The pages are the same thickness in my electronic copy.
Actually John mine seem thicker too on the digital copy.

Better get that computer looked at!
I think my digital pages are the same thickness (no print copy yet), but my glasses keep getting thicker every year and vision still keeps diminishing. The benefits of aging!
Maybe print copy will arrive today, a nice Christmas present!
We did not change the paper we use, so I doubt the paper is thicker. Photo reproduction is first rate in this one. We've had some issues with our printer on this, but I think we've got them fixed now.
For my $$, OGR has the finest photos/photo reproduction in the model railroad publication business. The 2014 issue that featured the W&LE on the cover had some of the best photography/printing I've ever seen on a model railroad, regardless of scale. I particularly like the big, in some cases, full page images of layouts where the owner has gone to great lengths to portray an accurate scene, regardless of locale.
One or more train magazines have changed the quality of paper used. Thank goodness OGR has not done so. With one popular O-Gauge magazine one has to use care when turning the pages. My Letter Carrier has torn as many as six pages just putting it in my mailbox. Needless to say I did not renew. Keep on top of the quality, Rich. For this all we can say is, Thank you!
God Bless,
"Pappy"
a quality magazine!!
One thing I noticed different with this issue were that the pages with lots of photos, such as the JADA Lines article, initially were stuck together almost like they were wet. After separating them, they did not stick anymore. Really nice quality photos.

Thanks very much, Rick! I spend a LOT of hours in Photoshop for each issue working up those images. It is nice to know that work is appreciated and that we stand up well to the competition.
I especially liked working on that W&LE cover. I added the sky in Photoshop. I took the shot of the sky I used in the background somewhere down in South Carolina.

It feels just the same to me. Even took out one from three or four years ago and it feels the same, back to back.
Maybe your fingers are getting thinner?
.....another outstanding issue!!!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly. OGR is tops, better photos, better analysis and more pages than the "other guys" magazine. I have been subscribing continuously for a number of years. Being formally in the publishing business, I know a quality product when I see one. There are a good portion of magazine lovers here and its nice to appreciate the hard copy but,we all must realize that the days of print media are numbered. Hard as we may resist, Digital Media is a trend that will not change course and will soon replace all print media. Merry Christmas all.
