On the net, at a good price (so I have to keep slapping my hand to keep from bidding on it) is a kit of the iconic Durango station. Now in our world
once confined to circles of 27 and 31 inches, this little "chicken coop" is 42" long in O scale. It won't fit in that circle of Hafner windup track, does not fit my current standard gauge(4' 8 1/2") theme, I don't and do not plan to, model Durango, and at 8 1/2" wide I don't think it would fit on my mantel, although I'd be tempted to try. Also, like a little kid who likes to take clocks apart, I tend to want to kit bash everything....so even though this is a favorite station, I have no business building it to sit around as a dust collector. However, there are scale and On30 modelers on here, and maybe some of you have built it, incorporated it into your layout, or maybe designed the layout around it? If so, pictures? (and perhaps, someone has built/modeled a station with a LARGER footprint?) In O scale...this is a no prize contest for the largest 1/4" station, and G gauge, 6" live steam,
12" amusement park structures, and that Katy station you moved to the family farm are ineligible.
