I recently bought a laser cut wood kit of a gas station garage circa the 1930-40's. It is called Flatheads Garage and it's made by a company called Full Steam Ahead. The original kit was for White Rose Gas and had the old fashion round glass face gas pump. I changed it around a little so I could use it in conjunction with a Twin Whistle Esso Gas Station (circa 1950) kit that I built a while ago. So...it will be Boin's Gas and Garage. I painted it in the colors of the Esso Gas Station building and put Esso signs on it. I also "kit-bashed" a concrete "island" that will go at the entrance to the gas station property. It has a hanging Esso Sign, tire air pump and fishhook light post. I still have some touch up work and I haven't permanently mounted the roof sign yet. It was a lot of fun to build. More pics to follow with layout scenery. Matt

Nice Job Matt. I will look forward to your posting of pics on the layout. Love to see where and how it fits in.
Like RR stations, there are an endless variety of prototype gas ststions you can model,
interesting and different. Good job.

Matt,
That must have brought you some genuine satisfaction, very nicely done.
It's great to see someone who still builds kits.
Keep up the good work and continue to show us, it inspires us all.

Thanks Matt for the link. It looks like a really nice kit. Are the gas pumps die cast metal? I noticed the website said custom tanks, but it didn't say what they were made out of.
