I have a Premier 5 car and 2 car Madison set I'd like to sell, but unfortunately do not have a shipping box to fit them. I've been to the local hardware stores, the big box stores, and a couple other places. The last time I used our local shipping shop for an odd package, they nickel and dimed me to no end so I'd prefer not to go that route.

Any ideas on where else I might come up with a box to fit these? Thanks in advance.

Hi Scott, I've seen this done a few times. Imagine the size you need for the perfect box for the items. Take those lengths and widths and add them up. 2L + 2W = Total Inches. Now measure around the boxes you have for close to that total length. Open the top and bottom of the box. Recrease the corners to the shape you need. Trim the box top and bottom flaps as needed to close the new box shape. Use lots of packaging tape.
Check out Lowes of Home Depot during the week to see when they receive a delivery truck. On those days, there are a lot of small and large boxes thrown out. Also, your local grocery store gets produce and things like cereal in good size boxes. But you need to check at the times they are putting the stuff on shelves because they do not have the means to save boxes for people.

Good luck,
Don
