I finally got my 2500s working. A couple of them only throw one direction completely. In the other direction they keep clicking and eventually throw a single red flashing LED without completing the asked for move, which I assume is an error message of some sort. If I give them a nudge while they are clicking away they do move to the other side and signal green. Any ideas how to fix this? Or is it a funky switch that I should contact z-stuff with?

Thx,

Mike

You must be extremely attentive to detail when setting up the DZ-2500s. They work well when perfectly aligned and have no added torque applied to the mounting screws. The way I mounted mine was to set them down on there mount with double stick tape and fiddle with them until they worked right. Once they were working correctly I would then drill holes for mounting them and very carefully screw them down until the screw just contacted the machine. Any further and they wouldn't work reliably. Attention to detail is extremely important. My guess is they're over tightened or not centered. I have 14 of them running at present and they all work fine and have been for 2 years.

It worked for me. My opinion is they need a little more support than Ross provides. I made a mounting block that is exactly the right height with the double stick tape to support the machine without raising it. I glued these down and then proceeded to mount the machines. Most of my switches are Atlas with a couple of Ross. Ross could align them but after a trip in the plane / truck the alignment would be gone.
