Given the 2nd run of the Hiawatha, I'd like to gauge if there is enough common interest to have Scott possibly re-run the Budd Slumbercoaches.
B&O, CB&Q, NYC, MP, NP, AMTRAK we offered previously. I would be game for a few CB&Q, an Amtrak and an MP.

If you run MP consists, be aware a B&O Slumbercoach ran on the MP as a thru sleeper.

I'd be in for a B&O Slumbercoach.
I would add a B&O and NYC please.
I’d also definitely be in for CB&Q, maybe a couple.
would you be interested in budd cars amtrack 8868-8869-8870
Appears to be some interest in a 2nd run. Wonder if adding them to the B&O Capitol run would be possible?

Just an fyi, start budgeting. The latest Amtrak Amfleet and Viewliners are reportely being priced around $300.00/ car due to Aluminum bodies and the ball bearing wheels.

Well, I have to budget to afford Scott’s offerings. I’ve decided they are quite nice - and much better than other offerings. If my memory is correct, there was some disappointment (Belly-aching) that the Amfleet was to be done in plastic. So Scott switched to aluminum and got a boost in reservations. Yep. They are more expensive. Be careful what you wish for !!!

I have the Amtrak Phase I version from the first run.
I would be interested in a Phase III version in a second run if offered. I am looking to start my heritage fleet trains, especially with Amfleet cars finally in design and E60's in pre-order stage.
In my Amtrak world, the Southwest Limited got E8s and a Slumbercoach. The Slumbercoach is just rear of the K-line Single level diner for the sleeping car passengers. More fun to see the car in a consist!
Great looking cars. Thanks for the photos and video.
These are next to impossible to find in the secondary market.
That's the version I'm interested in! Can't bring myself to repaint my phase I version though! It goes so well with the rest of my Phase I Amtrak.
Oh don’t worry... I have a phase I too. This was a B&O Dreamland.... still is, just in phase III
i painted the interior that hideous shade of pastel pink too.
Yes for sure. I have an amtrak, a NYC & a B&O from run 1. I would be in for a Amtrak phase III, a MP & a Penn Central.

Ok! You now sold me on a phase III!
The reason these are hard to find is because there weren't a lot made and should a second run happen, I suspect there won't be a lot of those made either. Inventory is not a good thing when you see the size of Scott's "warehouse"
Sounds like there are quite a few interested in a 2nd run. Hopefully this will happen soon...but not too soon

I’m guessing this would qualify as one of those “short runs”. I view this as an opportunity for Scott to tack a 2nd Run of Slumbercoach onto another larger run of passenger sets to reach a more “commercially viable” total run number. Got to get it offered up with a plan where it could fit into a production run. Be nice to see some movement on this as the reservation window thru to delivery can be brutally slow.
Scott never seems to have many “leftovers” from any of his runs. With that in mind, I bet his “warehouse” is not much larger than a good sized walk in closet. 🤣🤣🤣
Yes! Phase 3 and more phase 1 Amtrak.

Not to mention the taxes if he carries over inventory for the following years!

Penn Central, great idea. Definitely the phase III Amtrak.
I’m a big fan of my NYC’s! As with anything in a blue box with yellow lettering, absolute top quality! Im in for a NP and a MP Slumbercoach when the 2nd run happens.
I prefered the Sumbercoach over a roomette for one reason: you did not hae to tear up the bed to ge to the toilet!

MP not in some sort of blue? Were they leased from Budd or another railroad?
And the MP/B&O run through sleepers ran later than most.

All the Budd Slumbercoachs were stainless steel. The MP only owned one.

Those were the only roads that owned Slumbercoaches. The NYC's were rebuilds of roomette sleepers and were labeled "Sleepercoaches" due to the NYC ceasing Pullman staffed cars.

Scott and I discussed the Budd Slumbercoach yesterday. Here is what I suggest; if you are committed to purchasing one or more e-mail / call Scott and tell him so (e-mail is much better). My opinion is that they would be done with the B&O Capitol Limited since that will have the Budd dome car and the Budd 16 and 4 sleepers. It is important to do the Budd car extrusions at the same time. Plus it would help accelerate the Capitol Limited in the list of projects.
Trust me, this is imperative for you to do if you want to see the Budd Slumbercoach made again.

Thanks, just emailed him.
I emailed Scott too and suggested to add Penn Central, Amtrak phase III, and Burlington Northern.

Burlington Northern would be a great option too! (if possible)
Scott emailed me back, It’s gonna happen! And there will be new road names added!
