Had problems getting these promised photos of my structures posted.....they are in groups of mining, water mills, grain elevators, town structures and railroad structures (who'd have thought the last)
This is a cardstock model I found online. Modified it by painting the interior black and then installing windows I printed out on inkjet transparencies so it could be illuminated. Also made custom firm sign using powerpoint.
Just wonderful. You seem to have a thing for water-wheel-powered mills! I am still a ways away from putting structures on my layout. But I expect to enjoy my stucture modeling, At least I sure am going to enjoy it a lot more than I am currently enjoying wiring! Yeesh....
Mr. Merz..l have hunted mills where they can be found..SW Missouri, PA., Western Ind...a very high-wheeled one found in Ky. I have tracked down covered bridges, too..same areas, but haven't modeled any as not found on the Colorado front range l hope to model. For future wiring, l hope l have sense enough to listen to experts and carefully bundle and label...trips under the layout on a mechanic's slider trying to find a wire are less fun than under your car in the garage changing oil.
