I need a source for bulbs used in various Lionel trains and accessories. Would anyone know of a supplier ?

Thanks. I had answered an ad in Classic Toy Trains that is or was selling bulbs. he stated that he had a list of bulbs and where they were used. I sent the required SASE to him and even called but have not had a response.
The gentleman is;
Charlies Trains in Hubertus, Wisconsin. Have you heard of him ?

Then the above suppliers have many bulbs, but don't overlook your local auto parts stores, especially Napa.

Dan, I love your signature quoting Winston Churchill. At the risk of saying what you already probably know, Winston Churchill was a prolific and brilliant writer. He also did so much to inspire and save humanity.
George Tebolt from upstate NY had just about any bulb or train part, but may be retiring as a parts supplier.
Over the past several years I tried to get a fresh list from Charlie's Trains a couple of times and never received an answer.
He was my supplier for many years. If he is still around, he would have to be quite elderly.
In addition to the folks mentioned already, another person specializing in bulbs for trains is:
Miniature Lamp Works
Jill also sells a limited variety of parts and some decals.

I used to buy from George many years ago when I had my "O" gauge layout. I have purchased a couple of things from him within the past year. However, as you mentioned he is retiring, albeit slowly it seems. I've had very good results buying from The Train tender lately.
Arnold, about Winston Churchill. I have been reading his biographies. They are quite interesting. He certainly was the right man at the right time. I have the book, "The Wit and Wisdom of Winston Churchill". If you want a good laugh or are in need of some wisdom, I would suggest you look it up if you haven't already.

The British in that time frame had some great, ascerbic, wits about them. Gilbert Chesterton (GK Chesterton) was another one, though he died just before WWII.

Thanks Dan, I will look up that book.
I have not read anything by Winston Churchill yet, but an attorney colleague on mine, Alan Greenstein who is one of the smartest attorney I know, has read many of his books and thinks very highly of Winston Churchill's numerous books.
I was not pleased with the quality of some coated bulbs from Town and Country Hobbies.
What about Olsen's? They have some neat bulb kits.
Henning's is also an option. A wide variety of bulbs are cataloged in their online listing.
Bruce
I would go with Henning's. :-)
