Hi I am going to get some of the recent MTH Trolleys that were recently announced. So on the track, will a earthen bumper (Fastrack) suffice or is there a specific bumper I would need for proper operation?
Thanks

Not an expert, but if the "bump and go" system works the same way it did in the PW days, I think it should work with anything sufficiently solid, provided it's tall enough to contact the bumper. I should think that it'd work with MTH Trolleys, since I'd pretty sure it works with Lionel Trolleys.
MTH trolleys do not seem to need as robust a bumper as the lionel trolleys. I had one lionel trolley that had to hit the humper with enough force to drive a nail. One day it blew the bumper off the layout and nose dived to the floor. IMO the MTH trolleys are better made and run better.

I hope so because at Christmas I plan on putting it above a 10 foot wide entry to our room and its about 8 feet high so if it runs off the end, its a dead trolley! Thanks for the feedback.
The Lionel Bump & go do not need a lot of speed to reverse the action. I built a Trolley Station and soldered a bumper to the track made out of 3 pieces of track. The Trolley is elevated and the other end is a Lionel lighted Bumper. I think the MTH trolley will run the same way.
I would screw the bumper THOUUGH the track with a screw and nut to make sure the trolley reverses.

I've got several MTH and Lionel trolleys that I set up for the grandkids. I use Fastrack and a pair of Earthen Bumpers without any problems.
No screws or nails, just attach the bumpers to the track!
Can you use 2 of them on an oval? Bump into each other and reverse?

I try to run more than one trolley, but if they bump on a curve track most times they derail....I have 5 Lionel trolley's and I like to run 2 or 3 of them on the same track...The problem is that none of them run at the same speed.... is there anyone out there that can figure out how to synchronize them to all run the same speed?????
