l little update on my new Lionel SW7. ( the one with the swinging coupler) I taped up the swinging coupler and ran the engine to test the rest of the functionality of the little engine. I forgot to test the couplers so I put the engine back on the track and tested them this morning after church and worked ok. I noticed out of the corner of my eye a very small machine screw in the ballast by the track. The swinging coupler screw! All I can figure it must have been stuck above the front tuck wires and the shake down test must have knocked it loose and kicked it out. Put it back together and so far Chessie SW7 #5224 is back in service. And thanks forum member 4T44 for your help. I won’t need your coupler screws after all.
