Cab Floor & Interior Color | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I'm looking to paint the cab floor and interior of my Commodore Vanderbilt, as well as get rid of those 2x4-sized window mullions, and add cab glass and figures.

Does anyone know what the floor was on the CommVan or any NYC Hudsons? was it wood? I have some scale sheathing I can use if it was wood.

I'm going to use the same green I use for my diesel cabs for the walls and ceiling.

I cannot imagine a steam locomotive cab floor being anything but plate steel. IF it were painted, I would expect coal dust and foot traffic to quickly wear it.

Steam locomotive cab floors are painted black.

Looking for photos of the cab of a NYC Hudson.

I'd like to know if the floors are wood and what color they are painted.
