If you are interested in Modern Era Standard Gauge, McCoy produced a complete set of freight cars with Canadian logos that occasionally come up for sale on ebay.

Hafner made some nicely lithoed Canadian cars too. The Canadian Flyer pullman is a personal favorite.

We're in the same boat.  I believe the the high price to import just about anything new prior to WWII makes it hard to find prewar items up here these days.  I really have better luck on trips to the States.  Standard Gauge, while not impossible to find here, is usually priced way out of line.

My collection of tinplate is modest...kept small because I dabble in everything else Railroad related.
