Here is a cement plant roughly modeled after some pictures found on line. The goal was to give the feel of the plant with out fully copying the real thing. This is a scratch built model using PVC pipe, a funnel, plastruct steel beams and shapes and some Pecos River Brass roof details.

Stu, Nice job. Are there going to be any additional structures to go along with this for the plant, like an office building?
Great modeling. Thank you for posting.
Mike
Looks real good.
Thanks for sharing your creativity, looks great!
Well done.

Al,
he doesn't have a lot of room so that is all I did. The pump building could also be used as an office.
Very nice detail. Good lines and proportion. A touch of weathering. How about a decal located on the tower, a faded name, such as: "Grainik Cement Works" Nice job and thank you for sharing..
your cement plant looks solid
as concrete!!
Nice, detailed, modeling. When would a cement plant like that would have first
appeared, what era, steam or later?
I didn't do any research on time frame for cement plants. This one is modern and I was able to use Bing maps birds eye view to see all sides of it after I found the address. A name on it would be a nice touch but this was for a client. In looking at pictures most didn't have names.
very nice Stu,
thanks for posting the pictures to share.
That sure would look good on any O-Gauge layout. Very nice job.
Stu - Great job! I like the weathering, subtle and not overdone.
Art
I like it!
That's nicely done and nicely weathered, too.
Nice job
Dang! That looks great Stu.
Thanks for sharing.
Great job on this - I particularly like the way you weathered the top section - makes it look very realistic.
All of the weathering was done with powdered pigment and a soft 2" brush and a soft flat 1" brush. I then sprayed everything with poly S flat.
Great job. I like the size, and overall look....excellent work.
Stu,
The silos came out very nice. I like the cylindrical concrete supports at the bottom.
