I'd just look for another switch machine, much easier than trying to replace the coil. A couple of screws separates the switch machine from the switch body.
What they said. I figured that I would remove and rewind a burned out coil on one of these once, but quickly gave up the idea. It's a good idea to keep a spare or two around anyway so you can make quick replacements.
