Charles Ro Supply Company "American Flyer S Gauge Sale "

I took advantage of the Charles Ro sale, and purchased the S & A  Cylindrical Hopper AF48659, and a Christmas Mint car.

Anyone know if these are the first or second Gen Cylindrical Hoppers?  Wondering if I will need to update the wheels/trucks.

i think you will need to update truck and wheel charles always states if the have the hirail wheel and to ad for the car the Francisco hoppper was stated as hi rail but not the s & a 

I Looked in the 2016 catalog.  That hopper has scale wheels.

For that price I don't mind having to do the update.

I use Gilbert trucks on the hoppers.  The trucks with the small hole do the job and the Lionel screw hold them in place.  A cheap and easy fix George.
