I was taking a walk and this time of year is great to find old dead weeds before the new ones start growing. Some of these weeds look like they could be great looking trees. This was fun, cheap and easy to do.

Couldn't have come at a better time. I'm going to need a load of trees for the mountain.
Nice work. They look great!

As irony would have it, I actually found these by an abandoned RR track. No Trains and no ground maintenance just let these beauties grow.
I got some more today. 4 different sizes and 2 interesting seed pods. I'll experiment with them.
Thanks for your thoughts and kind words.
Ron, great idea, can't wait to try it. What type of sawdust did you use, and since I'm not a woodworker, where can I get some ?
Thanks, Mike Miller
Those are great results and a nicely done video !
Very cool video, Ron! Tips like this are a major reason the Forum is so worthwhile! I also like the fact that the video is short and to the point.

Not sure what type of sawdust. I assume from hardwoods and pine. I got mine from a small furniture shop were my wife likes to shop. We were picking up a table he made my wife and he gave me a grocery bag full of sawdust. If you buy some dollar store strainers you can get different sizes and textures.
