Because we have little hands, little feet, and little paws around the house this year, we decided to setup the smaller layout this year. I changed trackage from tubular to super O and refurbished the 313. We all have enjoyed watching the train around the tree. Merry Chistmas everyone !!! Lion Vic

And Merry Christmas to you! Could you please post larger photos of your Christmas tree layout? Can't see much in these, and it looks like it would be worth showing off.

Very nice indeed. There is magic in your layout. I'm sure everyone that sees it is loving it. Enjoy and happy holidays.

Great layout - it has the Christmas spirit! I like the Super O track, I use it on our Christmas layout too. It is a lot quieter than Fastrack and locks together as well.
BTW, where did you find the cat shaped house?
We have two cats, and they think the Christmas tree & layout are totally for their benefit! Thankfully they treat it carefully.

Good Morning John, thanks for the kind words regarding our layout, we are having sooooo much fun with it this year. Squeek is a abandoned kitten we found under our porch this spring. At the time she was barley 6 weeks old and had to be fed with a dropper. Now she is a real pistol and loves to watch the train. I can keep her out of the layout if I fire up the GP-9 and hit the horn once or twice. We have 5 indoor cats and 2 indoor dogs. yes, we live on a farm and love all our critters. Really the only major problems we have encountered thus far is squeek pawing at some ornimates and Coco the baby black lab eating the artificial layout trees. Best wishes to you and your family, Merry Christmas, Lion Vic
Very nice layout!

Good morning John, awsome layout!!!. Do you have any picks of the overall view ? how much space did you use? Looks like some really great Christmas eye candy. Your Moews look quite content with themselves playing train and being the mayors of Christmasville

The aerial shots. Not as fancy as yours, but now I'm inspired to do some more next Christmas.

Good evening John, great layout !!! I really like the way you intergrated the double level. My larger layout has two levels as well but I like the way yours is shaped. how well do your super O turnouts work?. I've had some arcing problems with mine in the past.

Thanks for the complement! My wife has suggested that I raise the layout next year so that it will be easier to view. No, I haven't had any arcing problems. I have heard that some loco rollers will briefly short going through the switches.
BTW, you should post your photos on the Christmas photo album 2012 thread on the main Forum, and share them with more people! Have a Happy New Year!
