I've been setting up my first Fastrack carpet Christmas tree layout having tossed a 20 year old set of RealTrax.  The Fastrack is proving more difficult, but in fairness it's a little more involved than the RealTrax loop with had no switches.

You can see in the track plan below that I have a 1 3/8" section (the ones with the jumpers on the bottom and the split middle rail).  I circled the 1 3/8" piece.  I'm having problems with the rest of that dead end siding having very iffy electrical connection with that 1 3/8" section in there.  If I take it out there problem goes away.  I've tried two different 1 3/8" pieces.  Both do the same thing.  This is baffling.

Are you running more  than one power feed. For me, I have found voltage drop off on Fastrack. Try putting another feeder wire in on the opposite side of the track, making sure the hot and ground line up.

Only one power feed.  Slightly bending the center pin and gently squeezing the open ends slightly seems to have resolved my issue.

The outer loop dead end switches are there to allow temporary expansion with some curves and 30" sections.  I've got the 3 switches wired to an LCS STM2 and have an LCS WiFi and a SER2 hooking in a TPC300 in case I want to run conventional remotely with my grandpa's KW.  I also put in a sensor track to try out the sensor REA car that was just delivered.  Finally, I've got a TMCC OTC I'm going to add in too.   The idea is to have the RS11 pulling the Legacy Crane/Boom Car and my Lionmaster Challenger pulling the sensor car, the new PFE sound reefers and an operating signalman car.

As you can see, I'm trying to pack a LOT into a little space around that tree!
