Hello everyone common

I have now pretty much laid my track and want to ensure that I have good circuit protection for my Legacy and DCs engine Electronics. Right now I have a legacy cab 1l , TPC 300 and a post-war ZW Transformer. I have added tvs's between the  A AND Upost of the Transformer and in various spots around the layout via a lioNEL lock on. Is this good protection the way I have done it?

I am now adding 10 amp circuit breakers and would like to know WHERE  to install them between the cab 1l, the TPC 300 and the post-war ZW. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Jerry

Jerry A,

The 7-10 Amp Resettable Breakers are fine, I would eventually add the full DCS to your layout, to run both TMCC/Legacy & DCS from the DCS Handheld Remote Control, in this manner you get the TVS perfection of the TIU, and you can still use the Cab2 Remote also.  I have been running in this manner for years now, and have hand zero problems.

Jerry,

The way Dewey explained the TVS with just TMCC/Legacy was to put the TVS breaker directly on to the old ZW Transformers between the A & U Posts and the D & U posts for best results.  Due an OGR Search using TVS and you should see the different talks about how to set it up.  Never had to do it in this particular  manner, because of using the DCS TIU, on my layouts.
