I picked up this critter a few months ago - was on ebay in O gauge, it was a G gauge loco, two drives. Made by a company called Hudson Car Company, never heard of them. took a short break from building other stuff to get at least one of my many projects done. It is basically wood, covered with thin sheet metal and hand made fittings in metal. The real CNJ 1000 looked very much like this and was the first diesel on that railroad and one of the first to run in the US. The original is in the Baltimore Railroad Museum.
As bought, it was in the early black scheme, I'm partial to the later CNJ green color. Regauged for standard gauge, made my own markings, added a bunch of weight, electronic e-unit. Ready to run in standard gauge!
